Munce sentenced to 30 months jail time over the killing of the toddler.

Kaminski, who had no family in the town, was arrested in July after an undercover agent went undercover at a Walmart after buying fireworks.

He told police that he bought the fireworks on his way home to the village but was caught when he failed to return home the next day. He did not mention the child's name.

Investigators said that the child's injuries were so severe that she could no longer sit up.

Kaminski was charged with aggravated murder.

According to the criminal complaint, police said the incident was sparked by a argument between him and the mother.

She told police she was standing outside the store when a man came up behind her and started beating her, yelling racial slurs. She said she started screaming "stop".

When her daughter was rushed by ambulance to hospital, it was not until the next day that investigators found the boy still lying unconscious on the backseat of her car.

They were able to get in contact with the man, who was later arrested in a motel in nearby Fort McMurray. He allegedly told police that he was going to kill the child because she threatened to hurt his mother's car.

Investigators said he tried to sell her a car, but she refused to sell him, so he sold her a pistol and called the RCMP.

They also said he tried to sell her an iPad but it was too valuable for her.

Kaminski's attorney confirmed to CBC News on Tuesday that the 29-year-old was in Edmonton with his girlfriend during the time the investigation was ongoing.

He said he received an email from RCMP in October saying Kaminski had been transferred to Edmonton from the Kaminski camp in Alberta, about 120 kilometres north of the border.

He said he had not seen the news, but told CBC News he believes it is possible he may return to Kaminski camp in Kamloops.

Police confirmed that they have contacted the Kaminski camp to determine if it is interested in reintegrating the child into the community, though that was not yet clear.

Kaminski was granted a bail hearing in November, where he remains locked up without the possibility of leaving Canada or applying for bail.

Kaminski was ordered not to contact the family.

An alleged victim was shocked to learn her alleged assailant sexually assaulted her on a honeymoon holiday and even attempted to have sex with her before his victim woke up.

Lizzy Evans, 23, of Co Antrim, was "ashamed and furious" after she was made to feel "violently" by her husband Gerry, 27.

As a result she is now "moved" to the defence of a man who has since denied he sexually assaulted her on his honeymoon.

Sinn Fein MLA for Dublin Ross Greiner said: "The young woman's case highlights the needs of young people who are experiencing a 'honeymoon gap', to receive help and support in their search for self worth and understanding in relationships.

"While this is clearly an issue that has the potential to be deeply harmful to young people, our Government is taking forward the steps required to stop this problem becoming even more common."

Mr Greiner added: "It is very important that people who are looking for relationships are not made to feel like they don't have what it takes to meet up and achieve a relationship, or worse, feel they are worthless.

"People who are affected by this issue should seek information and support from their local authority, the Social Credit Partnership, or our local police force, as well as our friends in community organisations and individuals who can help young people with their experiences."

In his first address as Taoiseach, Mr Justice Sweeney said he did not consider Mr Greiner and his wife to be part of a normal life at their home in Co Antrim.

On June 20, at about 15.30 on the holiday they had their honeymoon break. They had gone on holiday in a private home. Mr Greiner had called after dinner having decided he was going for a drink and had left the premises when he returned home.

It was at this time he was approached by his partner and her family members. He returned to the premises and was met by his wife, who was in the garden. They argued for som
